July 15 - Western Montana Volunteer Center Volunteer Recognition at Downtown Tonight, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., Caras Park.
July 15 - Kickoff of The Big Roll-Out, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., Caras Park during WMVC Volunteer Recognition event at Caras Park. The drive collects donations of toilet paper for the Missoula Food Bank through Sept. 11. See box at upper left and click for more information.

Sept. 11 - National Day of Service. In Missoula, this day culminates a community service project, The Big Rollout, to collect rolls of toilet paper for the Missoula Food Bank.

Sept. 20 - 24 - National Senior Corps Week will honor Foster Grandparents, RSVP and Senior Companion volunteers and highlight the lasting impact these 473,000 volunteers make in communities nationwide.

Oct. 3 - 9 - National Resident Rights Week, designated to honor residents living in all long-term care facilities, including nursing homes, sub-acute units, assisted living, board and care and retirement communities. This year's theme is "Defining Dining. It's About Me."
