Meals on Wheels 

Meals on Wheels provides homebound seniors and adults with disabilities a hot lunch to meet their nutritional needs. A network of volunteer drivers delivers the meals Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. to 1.p.m. Frozen meals are delivered Fridays for those needing meals for the weekend. Service area includes Missoula, Lolo, Clinton, Turah and Frenchtown.

Meals are prepared by the Providence Center under direction of a registered dietician. Special diets, such as diabetic, low salt and individual preferences, are accommodated.

Participants receiving Meals on Wheels may make a voluntary contribution to help cover the cost of the program. SNAP payments are also accepted.

Farmers’ Market Vouchers 

Eligible seniors receive vouchers per household that can be used to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables at  Missoula farmers' markets from June until the market closes in October. 
The application process and coupon distribution will take place Tues., June 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Missoula Aging Services (MAS), and again Wed., June 6 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
To be eligible, you must be 60 years of age or older, a resident of Missoula County and meet income eligibility guidelines. You will be required to complete an application form, which is available to download by clicking here or at the front desk, 337 Stephens Ave. Call 728-7682 if you have questions.

Liquid Supplements

With a doctor's prescription, MAS provides liquid supplement, such as Ensure, at cost. Liquid supplements can be delivered with advance notice or picked up directly from our office. Call 728-7682 to learn how to place an order. SNAP payments are also accepted.

Senior Diner Club

Participants receive meal vouchers that they exchange for a full meal at any participating eating establishment. These restaurants and senior centers are making a real difference for elders who need a little help each month in stretching their food budget.
Participants may make a voluntary contribution to help cover the program's cost. The program also accepts SNAP payments.

Home Delivered Commodities

Through a cooperative effort of the Missoula Food Bank, Missoula Aging Services and USDA Commodities Program, eligible individuals receive a free box of food delivered to their home each month. 
Recipients must meet age and income guidelines. To find out if you qualify, call 728-7682.

Senior Centers

Senior Centers throughout Missoula County and surrounding areas offer congregate dining services to seniors and much more. Feel free to contact the Missoula Senior Center directly at 543-7154 or call Missoula Aging Services at 728-7682.

Rural Meal Program Sites 

Senior center meals and other meal programs are available at several rural sites in Missoula County.

In Frenchtown: a senior lunch is served twice a month

In Lolo, senior lunches are served weekly at the community center.

In Seeley Lake, senior lunches are served Monday through Friday at the Senci Sela Center, and Meals on Wheels are also available Monday through Friday.

In Condon/Swan Valley, lunches are served at the Hungry Bear
