 ho live independently. Walkers and wheelchairs are welcome! Over the cours
 e of 8 two-hour sessions\, participants will gain the tools and confidence
  to reduce incidents of falls. Participants should have the cognitive abil
 ity to build on concepts from week to week.  \n\nW﻿hat to expect:\n- Exerc
 ises to increase strength and balance and set goals for increased activity
  level\n- Reduce your risk of falls at home and in the community\n- Engage
  with others who share the same concerns\n\nA Matter of Balance begins on 
 Friday\, January 6\, 2023  and continues for 8 consecutive Fridays through
  February 24.  Class meets in person at Grizzly Peak Retirement Community\
 , 3600 American Way in Missoula from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Participants who comp
 lete at least 5 of the 8 sessions will receive a graduation certificate. I
 f you cannot attend at least 5 of the 8 classes\, please consider register
 ing for the next program\, because class size is capped at 12.\n\nPre-regi
 stration is required and is first come\, first served. An email confirmati
 on will be sent to registered & confirmed participants prior to the sessio
 n start date. Mandy Petersen\, Falls Prevention Facilitator at MAS\, prese
 nts the program. For more information or help registering\, contact Missou
 la Aging Services at (406) 728-7682. \n\nMissoula Aging Services promotes 
 the independence\, dignity and health of older adults and those that care 
 for them. We believe A Matter of Balance significantly impacts the quality
  of life of those who attend. The course has a value of $80 per student wh
 ich includes instruction.  Choosing a contribution ticket of any amount (s
 uggested $40) is greatly appreciated in assisting MAS to continue to offer
  the course and promote our mission. No-cost ticket options are available 
 for Montana residents in need. \n
