Program Helps Older Adults Stay in Their Homes

The day before Thanksgiving is a busy one at the Providence Center, where Missoula Aging Services' Meals on Wheels are prepared and dispatched.Volunteer drivers delivered Thanksgiving dinners to clients on 17 routes in and around Missoula County, a service which helps these older adults remain in their homes. But the day isn't very different from every other weekday when these and other dedicated volunteers make the deliveries, bringing nutrition, a friendly smile and check-in to the homebound clients.
