What In-Home Services are Available?

Putting you in charge of your care and your future

Missoula Aging Services’ offers in-home programs and services to help older adults and their families address complex problems. These include Respite & Homemaking Services, the Veteran-Directed Home and Community Based Services Program and Care Transitions.

    Veterans of all ages can direct their own in-home care services through the VD-HCBS program.

    Veterans of all ages can direct their own in-home care services through the VD-HCBS program.

    The Veterans Directed Home and Community Based Services Program empowers qualified veterans to hire, employ and supervise workers, known as personal care attendants, to help with daily needs. The VA determines the eligibility of the veteran and qualification is based on the veteran’s level of need. For more information, please contact Missoula Aging Services at (406) 728-7682.

    Get needed breaks from caregiving and help with housekeeping.

    Being the primary caregiver for a family member can be intense. By taking time away from caregiving, you'll return refreshed, renewed and reassured that you won't become overwhelmed by your loved one's needs.     If you find yourself admitted to either of Missoula’s local hospitals and you are on Medicare, you may be eligible for assistance once you are discharged from the hospital through Missoula Aging Services’ Care Transitions program.
