On Friday, June 30th in Helena, leaders honored Montanans who’ve contributed to the state’s volunteer spirit. The Governor’s Office of Community Service recognized Iva Rose MacKenzie of Missoula, with the ServeMontana Lifetime Achievement Award, along with five other individuals and two organizations at the annual ServeMontana Awards.
From 1990 to 2021, Iva Rose gave 13,808 hours of service to Missoula Aging Services volunteer projects. In addition, Iva volunteered at the Humane Society, did essential fundraising for many nonprofit causes and events, served as a Greeter at Travelers Rest State Park, and many other community opportunities. “I’ll keep at it as long as I’m able to,” Iva Rose shared.
Congratulations and thank you, Iva Rose!
